The patio walls surrounding the fireplace and seating area were once plain and understated, lacking warmth and visual interest. With the addition of a custom, multi-layered living wall, the space was completely transformed. A blend of greenery styles and colors now softens the area, creating a lush, inviting backdrop that enhances the entire outdoor living experience.
The outdoor space had a partially exposed dirt slope along one side, making it feel unfinished, while direct sun glare made it difficult to comfortably watch TV. We resolved both issues by installing lush green foliage along the hillside, softening the raw dirt and naturally filtering the sunlight. The greenery created privacy and shade without enclosing the patio, preserving an open feel while transforming it into a comfortable, functional retreat.
At this property, neighboring homes looked directly into the backyard, leaving the space feeling exposed and lacking privacy. While the yard had great potential for relaxation and entertaining, the constant visibility from surrounding properties made it feel uncomfortable and unfinished. To completely transform the experience, we installed tall, mature looking hedges that now create a lush, natural privacy wall.
The home’s open layout extended seamlessly into the backyard, but neighboring properties had clear views of the pool, spa, and lounging areas through the wrought iron fence. While the outdoor space was beautifully designed for relaxation and entertaining, the lack of privacy made it feel exposed and less tranquil than intended.
The bedroom window looked out onto a plain wall in a tight, awkward space that offered little visual appeal and was difficult to enhance. We introduced bright tropical greenery outside the window to instantly soften the view and bring life to the space. To tie everything together, complementary hedges were added along the backyard fencing, creating a cohesive, lush backdrop both inside and out.
